Tokyo Tanso Co. Ltd.,originally a carbon brush maker, was established in 1947. In 1957, after moving the factory from Kojiya to Shinagawa, founder, Ishiko Yamazaki focused on machining electrodes and furnace parts to expand the business.  In 1985, Tokyo Tanso expanded its machining capabilities by moving/acquiring a bigger land in Yachimata, Chiba prefecture.

Today, using our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, we specialize in processing graphite materials,  various impregnated carbon, c/c composites, carbon fiber, carbon insulator and machinable ceramics. We  provide our customers with a complete and cost-effective supply solution.

CNC aided by CAD/CAM software ＆ manual machining operations are the backbone of our machine shop accomplished by our well-trained and experienced machinists.  Our staff is highly  competent, experienced,production-ready for prototypes short run orders, as well as complex assemblies and quantity production.  We can work from broken parts or freehand sketches to provide the parts our customers’ desire.  We partner with customers and work closely to produce the highest quality parts at the best possible price.  We have earned a reputation based on pricing by fulfilling requirements for precision, accuracy, quality, value and flexibility.
